This one is special! This is beautiful Olivia who just recently graduated from Collierville High School! This past school year was so challenging for so many in ways that none of us had ever faced before. For some, life changed for them forever. Sweet Olivia lost her mom in March of this year to complications from Covid-19. Olivia's mom and I are friends from high school and I am forever grateful to Tricia for reaching out to me and scheduling this Senior Portrait session for her beautiful girl last Fall. It was such fun reconnecting with her and talking about old times and looking ahead with excitement about the years ahead for Olivia in college. I have my client's fill out a questionnaire and these were Tricia's words about her daughter: "Olivia is an artist. She is outgoing, a little bit crazy, and definitely fun, yet her heart is so very kind." Tricia was sooo very proud of her Olivia and it's easy to see why!
It was my joy to spend not one but two days working with Olivia! Rain popped up out of nowhere and we had to stop our session. Like many things that can seem frustrating at first, the rain that stopped us in the middle of our first session turned into an opportunity to do another session on a different day. Olivia has beautiful naturally curly hair but also wears it straight, too. This 2-day photo event allowed her the opportunity to have a few different styles and I loved both of her looks! We had the best time exploring downtown together and being creative and fun!
My heart breaks for Olivia and her family and all who loved Tricia. It is hard to imagine such a loss in such a tremendously hard year. Being with Olivia, however, was healing to my soul. She has such a joy for life and I have no doubt that her future is bright and that she will always carry the laugh and smile that comes from her Momma. Just so grateful and thankful. Olivia, I am soo happy to know you. You will always be in my heart and prayers and I pray that these photos bring you some pure JOY after such heartbreak. Congratulations!
